Loss Assessors Cavan

Have you suffered damage to your property and need to make an insurance claim?

Would you go into court without a solicitor representing you?

Then why make an insurance claim without someone representing your interests!

Let Mc Carthy Loss Assessors (MCLA) help you!

Mc Carthy Loss Assessors are Insurance Claim Experts and are regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland. Our Loss Assessor has a B.Sc. Hons. in Building Surveying and is also a Certified Insurance Practitioner which makes him an expert in this field. With over 10 years of experience, our Insurance Loss Assessor has a wealth of knowledge, when acting on your behalf, ensuring that your claim is handled as professionally and efficiently as possible.

At the time of a claim your insurer will appoint a loss adjuster to represent their interests. The loss adjuster’s role is to settle the claim as economically as possible for the insurance company. A Loss Adjuster will not help you prepare or compile your claim. They are not on your side. They will only act on your insurance company’s instruction. Their role is to adjust the claim presented by you.

A Loss Assessor acts on your behalf. Their role is to represent you and ensure you obtain a fair and equitable settlement under the terms of your insurance policy. Our Property Claims Loss Assessor will prepare and compile your claim and negotiate with the loss adjuster on your behalf. He will be able to identify and highlight the secondary/hidden damage that the loss adjuster will not point out to you as doing so may increase your compensation.

What will our Loss Assessor do for you?

  • Carry out an initial survey of your damage/loss
  • Review your insurance policy and its terms and conditions
  • Report the claim to your insurer and put them on notice (If not already done)
  • Provide expert advice on your next steps (perhaps emergency repairs are required)
  • Organise a meeting at your property with the Loss Adjuster to inspect the damage
  • Meet with the Loss Adjuster representing your insurance company to present the damage to your insurer
  • Prepare a bill of quantities on your behalf reflecting the damage/loss to your property
  • Negotiate a fair and equitable settlement, as efficiently as possible, under your insurance policy’s terms and conditions
  • Review the settlement details with you and act upon your instruction. We will not accept a settlement proposal without your approval
  • Accompany the Loss Adjuster on any re-inspection which may be required at any stage of the process
The claims process is extremely complex. The everyday person has no experience or understanding of it. By representing and acting on your behalf, we can remove this burden, speed up the process and ensure that you obtain a fair settlement and your most favourable outcome. Mc Carthy Loss Assessors are on your side, a friend who will guide you through the process, take the hassle out of making your claim and use our expertise to your advantage.
